Aimie K. Runyan gives credit for the ideas for her last two books to fellow members of RMFW - Jamie Raintree gave her the nugget that led to Daughters of the Night Sky and Sean Vogel for Girls on the Line, proving yet again the power of networking and developing a solid crew of writer friends.

Aimie’s career took off with Daughters of the Night Sky. New York Journal of Books raved, “Fans of historical fiction or tales of women defying the odds will be immediately drawn in to Runyan’s crisp, effortless prose.”

Recently, Aimie she was named as one of three finalists for Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers’ Writer of the Year award. The chat with Aimie represents the first of the interviews with all the finalists – both Writer of the Year and Independent Writer of the Year. The winners will be named later this summer.

Aimie K. Runyan writes to celebrate history's unsung heroines. She is the author of two previous historical novels: Promised to the Crown and Duty to the Crown. She is active as an educator and a speaker in the writing community and beyond. She lives in Colorado with her wonderful husband and two (usually) adorable children.
