This time on the podcast, Writer of the Year Finalist Margaret Mizushima chats with Natasha Watts. This episode also features an installment of Writer's Rehab. The topic is a common issue that plagues amateur writers.

In the interview, Margaret talks about the recognition her books have garnered, how RMFW helped her find her publisher, and how she writes books with so many animals. One of the main characters in her Timber Creek K-9 Mystery series is a dog named Robo and Margaret talks about how she makes sure Robo is a true individual who has an effect on the story.

Margaret Mizushima is the award-winning author of the internationally published and critically acclaimed Timber Creek K-9 Mysteries, including Burning Ridge, a Colorado Book Award finalist and named a Best Book of 2018 by Kings River Life.

Active within the writing community, Margaret serves on the board for the Rocky Mountain chapter of Mystery Writers of America and is a member of Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers, Pikes Peak Writers, and Northern Colorado Writers.

Margaret lives in Colorado on a small ranch with her veterinarian husband where they raised two daughters and a multitude of animals.
